Below are samples of real projects I have worked on. There are several more in the works so check back often for more inspiration! Not included here are the dozens of trips I have planned for myself and others over the past 2 decades, both in the U.S. and abroad that occurred  before I became a Certified Travel Consultant. These trips were a combination of personal travel and business travel, as was part of one of my administrative jobs many years ago.

SAMPLE 1:  14 Days in Italy

Below is a sample of an actual trip we built for a party of 4 adults. This 14-day Tour of Italy's Iconic Destinations was built to leverage shoulder-season pricing, lower crowds, mild weather, and a relaxed, European pace.  This trip is scheduled for March 2026.

We managed all of the details of this trip from initial research to booking.  Approximately 40 hours of work went into planning the logistics of this trip, including researching prices and availability of flights/lodging/tours/local transportation, checking reviews for all suppliers, speaking with guides, drivers, and hosts. We reviewed options and policies for train and flights, and we reviewed maps to ensure all of the logistics made sense. One person in this party needed 100% Gluten Free food options so I also conducted deep research on local options, restaurant, grocery stores, safety policies, etc. 

 

This trip, including airfare, lodging, train tickets, rental care, and listed tours, came in well below $4,000 per couple.  We did get amazing pricing on airfare - we were able to leverage some credit card miles for one couple. Food, local metros, taxis, souvenirs, etc. not included.

Sample Two: Icons of Italy Tour - 14 Days

This was an Inspiration Proposal I put together for a family of 4 (grown children) who knew they wanted to spend 2 weeks in Italy but was unsure exactly where or how long to stay in each place. Ultimately, they decided on Rome, the Amalfi, and Florence. They are traveling in May 2026. This is a very similar trip to the one above, however, it was 6 weeks later and into the start of high season, so prices were considerably higher - demonstrating the value of traveling in the shoulder season!
